About elaro
Because when people feel well, everything works better.
elaro began with a simple question
What if the people who keep the world running had the support they deserve to stay well while they do it?

Before founding elaro, Katherine and Carla had both spent years designing systems for people working in some of Australia’s most complex, high-pressure environments. From national security and disaster recovery to leadership and community, they saw first-hand the toll that constant demands, long hours and unrelenting expectations can take on individuals, teams and organisations.
Katherine brought deep expertise in human performance and choice architecture, combined with a background in elite sport and sleep science. Carla brought operational insight and strategic design expertise shaped by years spent leading change in high-stakes, fast-moving settings. Both had lived the realities of critical work, and knew the need for practical, evidence-based systems that help people perform at their best without burning out.
Together, they designed an approach that blends behavioural science, design thinking and real-world empathy to help people and organisations build better ways of working.
What began with programs for those working around the clock has grown into something much larger: a mission to design environments where wellbeing and productivity can thrive together, across industries, organisations and communities.
